With “Exiled Particles”, skilled American ambient composer Gregory Kyryluk (aka Alpha Wave Movement) brings us the first volume in a series of archival recordings. Tracks were made between 1997 and 2005, but never found its way to an actual physical release. Gregory reveals that most of the up-tempo oriented compositions show characteristics and style common in early trance electronic. In addition, it’s merely focusing on its dynamics along with a touch of atmosphere and melodic structures as found in his current sonic trademark. While “Left Hemisphere Induction” is the fast-paced and prominent track found here, only “Pangea” feels a bit lightweight between the other seven takes. Mr Kyryluk decided to complement two spherical ambient tracks from the archives to complete the release on gentle notes. |
