The entrance to this album (“Unexplained Stillness”) is a very dense, most mysterious and clouded affair, fortunately shifting to gentle sparkling, spacious and more accessible textures after that. The recording offers a selection of tranquil meditations and slow evolving nocturnal soundscapes, wandering into melancholic lands occasionally. Of all tracks I consider “Too many secrets” a highlight due to the expert layering and extending of textures to almost symphonic/ethereal grandness. |
