Ascendant is a project by US-based electronic music producers Chris Bryant (aka S1gns of L1fe) and mastering engineer Don Tyler (aka Phase47 / IO Mastering). Their debut Ep “New Land” is a 5-track/25-minute narrative ambient journey where captivating dreamworlds are embedded in surreal, mysterious-angled aural landscapes while touching upon ethereal realms beyond. The whispering female voice popping up occasionally enhances the hypnotizing flavor during the overall lush and slow evolving ride. The spacious (24-bit) sound design is most thoughtful and mesmerizing, making the outcome a strong candidate for headphone listening. |
