Ashera – Ambient Selections

Ashera is the artist name of the Australian musician Antonio Asher Wright.
“Ambient Selections” is his great looking debut album, a double cd, which comes as a digipack. It contains music on which he worked about seven years.
Antonio states his music is strongly influenced by the output of Brian Eno and Steve Reich.

Well, it ends up in two hours of meandering, warm, overall relaxed ambient soundscapes with some occasional sustained piano sounds, which is at its best on the second cd.
Only the last track on that disc should have been left out, as it destroys the previously built atmosphere.

All in all, “Ambient Selections” is a highly recommended piece of work for fans of the genre.
