Brannan Lane – Submerge

The album “Submerge” contains thirteen uninterrupted tracks of rather dark-oriented ambient music, freeform for the biggest part.
There are quite some bell-like sounds scattered all over the album.
“Part 8” features some heavy percussion accompanying the freeform ambient textures before things take a bit of an spooky turn on “Part 9”.

When I reached the end of the ambient ride I just felt his atmospheric soundscapes weren’t as strong as I know them for his former kindred recordings, which all is due to a certain restlessness which can be noticed on all tracks.
Maybe next time things might turn out better
