The album “Wolf Moon” sees independent electronic musician Dan Pound more or less “recycling” his trade of shamanically infused ambient electronic space music as we know it from his previous releases. It ranges from powerful to reflective outings, reaching out for introspective spaces while an assortment of tribal bits and pieces is scattered over the 9-track sonic canvas. I tried to immerse into its strong tribal-infused atmospheres, but in the end I had to find out “Wolf Moon” didn’t proof satisfying enough despite the excellent up-front sound quality and the musician’s efforts put into it. Fans of Steve Roach’s strong organic-tribal period may find something of their liking here though. “Wolf Moon” is available as cd and MP3 320kbps digital download. |
