Many musicians have been influenced by the classic electronic music of the Berlin school. The music contained on Eric G’s “Conclusion” features compositions made between 1978 and 1999, and shows its own reflection and inspiration derived from the mid-’70’s output by the likes such as Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze next to Jean-Michel Jarre. Opening and closing with a lengthy track with five shorter tracks in between, there’s a smooth, unhurried and moody feel embedded in Eric’s music. The musical flow within the structured compositions is nicely assembled from vintage sequences, lots of mellotron, a bit of vocoder and a fine layering of various retro pads to which rhythms and drums are added. All in all, there’s actually quite a lot to like on “Conclusion”. Check this one out when you’re into melodic, rhythmic and TD-minded retro music. |
