Harald Grosskopf – Synthesist 2010

The year 1980 saw the release of Harald’s classic recording “Synthesist”, of which especially the title track gained a lot of attention within the Em-scene due to the fact it was used as the tune for Winfried Trenkler’s EM-radio show “Schwingungen”.
Now, 20 years later, this album is re-released on vinyl and there’s also this new album.

“Synthesist 2010” however is not an upgraded, re-vibed or expanded version of the original, but a release with all new material.
I must say the 77 minutes of music found on “Synthesist 2010” is a highly energetic and rhythmic affair with a straightforward drive. This could also be expected seeing the bpm’s mentioned on the backside of the cd next to the track titles.

So expect a melange of hypnotic and groovy electronics, beats, melodies and massive bass lines, occasionally airing a slight world-music kindred flavour.
