Isaiah Toran – Another Way Home

“Another Way Home” is a new age cd with warm textural atmospheres. It is designed to evoke self awareness, made by the Cincinnati-based musician Isaiah Toran.

This debut cd (composed and performed since 1990) is well designed, and opens with soft, warm layers of floating sound, relaxation music like Liquid Mind.
Things get really enjoyable with the light twinkling textures of the short track “Solit”, before moving into soft symphonic realms in the following tracks.

From the sixth track on, things get more lively, with some slight rhythms and soft choir samples. But for the most, the atmospheres of the first part are gone (except for track 9).

This is a spiritual album of which the Yang-part unfortunately doesn’t turn out that well…
