Javi Cánovas – Behind the Shadows

For “Behind the Shadows”, Mr Canovas decided to try something different musically, as the sonic content on this album heads into ambient spaces.

The twelve non-rhythmic tracks, ranging between four and seven minutes, move along as introspective, overall quieting but also quite varied soundscapes, which occasionally take a melancholic turn.
Just listen to beauties such as “Inertness” or “Density Waves”, where the meandering synth washes smoothly curl and shapeshift as they evolve, and you get what I mean.

All in all, “Behind the Shadows” proves what a talented, genuine and varied musician Javi actually is.
