If you (like myself) love expansive and deep ambient plus have a preference to immerse into the very heart of soundworlds using headphones, “The Longing Daylight” by Lee Anthony Norris and Porya Hatami will prove a most enjoyable and satisfactory listen. The five textural excursions with occasional field recordings are kicked off by the gentle, very balanced sounding “Druid Liquid”. The pure ambient aesthetic then shifts to a brief drone on “Rune Stone”, soon followed by elegant yet blissful aural tapestries. The last three tracks are an ethereal, dreamy and morphing affair where bits of sparkling, melancholic piano keys merge beautifully with soft soaring, elevating waves. |
