Mark Mahoney – If Dreams were Clouds

Mark Mahoney is one of the members of the ambient space band The Amaranth Signal, who’s album “If Dreams were Clouds” is his solo debut.

Although free form and sounding rather chilled-out, there’s also a slight surrealistic/experimental veil penetrating the flowing soundscape music on this album, which feature a lot of space effects.

And, although there are some dreamy passages, overall music has a rather strange shape and impact, which also could have been imbued with some more emotion. To me, the outcome sounds too one-dimensional.
