You’re at the right spot with the releases of Meg Bowles when it comes to profound emotional ambient(space) music with lots of intrinsic elegance merged with a meditative touch. “Pilgrimage”, released some four years after the beautiful “Evensong”, is another nicely crafted recording graced with warm, smooth resonating synths pads and bits of gentle sequencing, together airing a profound spiritual, reflective, and introspective sonic perfume. It’s like a path of deeper understanding unfolding before the mind’s eye as we wander through a dreamlike world of calm, grace, and beauty with various uplifting parts. This paired with the thoughtful production and mastering by Richard Price makes the 54-minute “Pilgrimage” another recommended release from this classically trained composer-artist. Rating: nearly 4 stars.
