After a period of experimenting with guitar-centered work and the use of some vocals, Australian ambient/space composer Michael Meara has found his way back to creating slow, freeform and gentle soundscapes. “To Resonate & Glow” contains eight shorter melodic, classical/orchestral ambient pieces of a smooth nature, meant to explore many subliminal themes. There’s a slight touch of Vangelis to the nice ebb of and flow of music, that also incorporates some piano at places. If you like the works of Altus or are fond to undertake a nicely moulded and relaxing ambient journey with occasional contemplative flavours, “To Resonate & Glow” is an album to check out. |
