With “Zen Zone Biome”, composer Jesse Sola transports his listeners into an aural world of minimalist deep-space ambient, a collection of tracks composed for Pi Day 2025. A continuous stream of gentle soaring and spiraling textural waves unfolds slowly on each of the eight quiet, atmospheric pieces, as we float off-world into a futurist void. Occasionally, we drift past some beautiful, ethereal, angelic realms (like on “Undiscovered Asterism”) where time seems to have disappeared and the elements float effortlessly around us. On the final two tracks, the sound design becomes more mechanical and less captivating to my ears, which I think is a pity. |
