Stark organic vintage electronics are at work on Bakis Sirros’ third solo release on Mr. Boddy’s DiN label, a release not suitable for the faint of heart. A sense of futurism and bleakness lurks around the corner on each of the eight dark atmospheric tracks made up of peculiar sound processing and quirky sequencing. I also feel a vibe of discomfort, harshness, and something foreboding shimmering through the aural airs on the 44-minute recording, a veil lifted briefly on “Dysfunction” while “Angles” and “Dark Machinery” make the toughest pieces on “Plector”. |
