Ambient music fans who haven’t had the chance to investigate the output of the talented musician Peter Challoner now have a great opportunity with the double album “Ambient Archive”.

It’s a fine release offering more than two hours of free floating textural music, featuring six lengthy tracks. The release is actually a kind of overview, a collection of remixes, alternative versions and previously unreleased pieces created between 2002 and 2010, when Mr Challoner put out his first ten albums.
The final track “Electribal” is the only piece offering light rhythmic flashes scattered over a floating blanket of textures.

The fine outcome of “Ambient Archive” is a quiet resting place, prefect for repose and relaxation, a smooth dweller of fluid soundscapes to fully immerse in. Recommended.
