I’ve been following this UK-musician since 2004, seeing him evolve from an amateur to an established, skilled synthesist finding his own way in the genre (mostly solo but also by collaborating with Jez Creek through Infinity Curve) with his textural ambient, rhythmic-spiced contemporary electronics.
As Peter writes in the booklet, “Resonance” completes a trilogy of electronic music albums -along with “Convergence” (2017) and “Sub-sequence” (2018)- which continue to develop the rhythmic / sequencer style of tracks in addition to the ambient soundscapes. The sonic narrative told here is intriguing and only loses a bit of weight, for me at least on, the brief piano-interlude “Does the Piano remember or do I” while the tasty solo piano does works well on the final track.
