Slow, introspective soundscapes seem to have become the trademark of Phillip Wilkerson, who has work hard the last few years to further define and sculpture his ambient music quite a bit. “Ways of Forgetting” (improvised and recorded using the ‘daybook’ patch on the Virus TI synth at 432Hz) is a 28-minute EP containing one track featuring contemplative free form atmospheres reflecting sedate beauty, stillness and splendor. If you like a moment to reflect on things or seek a place of solace, this gently whirling and flowing outing may turn out a good companion for that. |
