On their debut album “Distance” Axel Stupplich, Andreas Morsch and Max Schiefele already presented a fine display of melodic-spiced, solid and mature electronic music. The result on their second endeavour “Move” fits in the same league with again some progressive rock nods showing up in the seven steady sequencer/rhythmic driven tracks of which a few feature slight oriental flavours (“Marrakesh”, “Pangaea”). Overall and compared with the first album, Max’s guitar takes the backseat much more but kicks in nicely on e.g. opener “Amalthea” and the last track “Visions”. For me though, especially the second half of the 63-minute album stands like a rock and shines even more containing the captivating “Delusion” and sparkling title piece. These guys can’t do much wrong, so I expect nothing less than “Move” to be another winner appealing to a wide EM-audience and TD-fans for sure. |
