“Natural Wonder” is one of the first cds of the US-based ambient musician Robert Carty. As I liked his 1994–album “Skyhearts”, I decided to check out this earlier album which came out two years before that. The music contained on this cd is overall quiet and atmospheric, a times even spacy, but its also seems to slip through your fingers without leaving any notable impressions. To my taste, “Natural Wonder” as a whole bears a too light character to keep you attention, although a few signs of stronger descriptive composition already show up which would make his later albums so remarkable. |
