Ambient/space musician Robert Carty has started a new series of musical explorations under the moniker Starlight, which (as he writes) began with an attempt to create a work with a “space” theme. Well, he has succeeded well, as this eight-track album (composed in December 2008) offers some very nicely rendered free form, soft flowing, glistening and overall textural cosmic music that will please space music fans a lot. From the start, it creates a warm, inviting, uplifting and above all dreamy atmosphere, making things float, especially when listening through headphones. |
