When it comes to atmospheric recordings, Robert Rich has always something special to offer. To create the electro-acoustic as well as ambient outcome, Luca spent three days at Robert’s new home in Carmel. This with the aim to record as many guitar tracks as possible to create a library of sounds which could later be used as ideas or inspiration, as both musicians moulded these various tracks in the months thereafter in their respective own studios. Well, the beautiful, floating and serene all lie at the core of this 57-minute collaborative work Robert did with Italian musician Luca Formentini (who plays acoustic, electric and fretless guitars), featuring 12 tracks spreading slow evolving pastel colors breathing harmony and quiet. In our nowadays world of restlessness and demand, this restrained and beautifully engineered release offers its listeners a sanctuary to wander through, reflect and even find a sense of solace, bringing even more washes of subtle magic to the table when listened to attentively or played in continuous mode.
