“By Popular Demand” is the first live cd by Ron Boots and Friends/M.O.R.E., which contains photo’s on the cd-sleeve taken by yours truly. The album contains the thundering piece “Mercalli’s Scale”, a dynamic track with a straightforward sequencer-pattern, but also the melodic soundings of “Through Mental Doors”. On the dynamic “March 28th” (a track recorded at the “Analoge Dag” in Sittard) Ron was accompanied by Rob Essers, Rob Papen, Ad van Gerven plus Bas Broekhuis on drums)before the cd closes with the symphonic realms of “Unitas Special”. The cd also contains “Time Room Special” and “Time Room Spirits”, which are slightly re-arranged pieces from Ron’s second album “Ghost Of A Mist” next to “Running out of Time”, a track from Eric van der Heijden’s debut cd “Universal Time Zone”. All in all, “By Popular Demand” is a must-have cd for all who love to feel the energy which is always present at their concerts. Note: the cd was 20-bit remastered and re-released in April 1999 on Groove Unlimited with a slightly different cover. It contains an improved version of “March 28th”. |
