Space Station is a music project initiated in 2006 by Portugese composer and producer Bernard Lampreia. “Transmission” is an accessible release filled with melodic sequencer-oriented electronics beside flavours of space and progressive instrumental music. Sonically, I hear lots of influences of German electronic music among others, but the overall sound spectrum of the recording remains a bit flat and uninspired beside the rather lame rhythms. For an amateur release, the outcome is fairly well done although there’s still quite some work to be done on behalf of mastering and production. “Transmission” is available as free download in Flac and mp3 format through Bernard’s Bandcamp page. |
