Steve Roach – Kairos

After quite some different projects and efforts to combine his intensive music with visuals, Steve Roach has culminated things and pulled them to a new, spectacular level with “Kairos” – The Meeting of Time and Destiny.

For the project, Steve collaborated with five excellent light, film, and digital artists (Lynn Augstein, Steve Lazur, Steven Rooke, John Vega, and John Wadsworth).
The latter artists contributed 74-minutes of beautiful visual worlds developed over the years, to which Roach created almost all new & specially designed music.

The outcome offers the best of both worlds: high-tech flowing soundscapes and groovy, driving intermissions alongside breathtaking visual creations which keep shapeshifting along the ride. The music also contains a section from Roach’s recent album “Proof Positive”.

Bonus material of the beautifully designed dvd-package contains an 11-minute montage of live-footage from two 2005 concerts plus the complete soundtrack on a separate audio cd.
The NTSC-dvd plays in all regions, except Japan.

By all means, this great product symbolizes the new millennium. Nice going Steve!
