It’s finally here: the entire release of “Quiet Music”, Roach’s classic ambient release of the mid ’80’s, presented as a triple cd-set. For a description of all previous versions of this recording plus a bit of background, I refer to the other review of this album on this site. This full body of work is how the release was meant to be in the first place: three concept albums of slow, minimal, serene and quiet soundscape music complementing each other as it expands and explores the essence of silence. This tranquil, soft breathing and most of all timeless textural music creates a sonic dimension of its own. |
