“Heart” is the second album by Bernhard Woestheinrich, aka The Redundant Rocker, who puts forward a progressive electronica album with the emphasis on both song and emotion. Although I’m not a fan of this rock-oriented style of electronic music (of which the fully analogue mix comes courtesy of Clemens Schleiwies and Markus Reuter), I have to admit that the feeling embedded in the nine instrumental tracks gives the outcome a human, honest touch. This is straight-forward music with dreamy and reflective moments as well as mellow sidesteps. |
