“Soundgardens” was recorded between 2003 and 2005 and was intended originally to build on ideas Thom first explored on “Satori” as well as shorter tracks like “Radiant Ice” (the opening track on the album “Shimmer”). All four tracks, finally mastered in 2019 for this release, are longform, ethereal soundscape dwellings spiralling upwards and downwards in a gently fashion as they morph onward. Suffice to say this fine album ticks all the boxes for aficionados of Mr Brennan’s floating textural works. |
