The live music featured on this release was recorded at the E-Wave Festival in November 2019 in Zeil am Main where Mr. Quaeschning played a full 75-minute set set. From the start of the eight-part “The Capitol Session”, it’s clear Thorsten is well on his way here again as he builds up things slowly and excitingly. It’s contemporary electronic music (also featuring a few nice dashes of e-guitar) incorporating a good dose of the Berlin School tradition merging melodic textures, a few solos, and some great sequencing into a lively, continuously evolving outcome. Despite influences from both Tangerine Dream and Picture Palace Music, this fine recording proves Thorsten has been able to further develop and refine his own style. Well done Thorsten! |
