It seems to me that Ralf Gülpen has further smoothened the overall sound design for the music that makes up part 3 in the series. Just listen and immerse in the first four tracks all featuring moody, airy, free-floating soundscapes that almost feel like chill-out. After that, some gentle rhythms enter the stage, but the overall mood stays relaxed, almost intimate. It’s a pity though the composer (again) decided to use a bland pre-set sax (whose sound annoyed me already on a few spots in the previous two parts) on “Textravegana” and “Hotare”, but luckily it’s countered most of the time by chill-out ambiences. |
