Urenga is the youngest project of Hungarian sound-wizard Andras Kiss, that slowly but surely created its own existence from his other ambient experiments. Besides that and compared to those other projects, the Urenga-formulae is inspired by/ focuses on the beauty and impact found in the untouched natural environment. “After Rain” is Urenga’s second full-length (but his first physical) release, offering his listeners an almost 80-minute epic adventure through minimal dub-ambient. Andras is at the helm of a kaleidoscopic mix of ambient textures, nature recordings, techno elements and dub sounds, all together creating an exciting and continuous ride through a slow evolving and overall spacious sonic landscape. This is hypnotizing, chill-out and slightly psychedelic stuff spreading its peculiar but most pleasing sonic scents all the way. It perfectly matches with the stunning and highly atmospheric nature images shot by Johan Rehn that grace the 12-page cd booklet. |
