Like the biggest part of Vanderson’s discography, “2055” will tick a lot of boxes for fans of contemporary-melodic Berlin School electronic music. In four accessible, well-produced, and mastered tracks, synthesist Maciej Wierzchowski aka Vanderson takes us on a 45-minute cosmic flight that merges catchy elements of both 80’s Tangerine Dream and Schulze’s classic sonic universes and spices them up with dreamy, gentle percolating sequences. The sparkling “No Return” can sit comfortably next to TD’s “Tangram” while the true icing on the cake is served on the 16-minute “Until Death us do part”. Nice going, Maciej! |
