“Earth Moving” is a live album by Polish synthesist Maciej Wierzchowski, aka Vanderson. The cd contains two lengthy pieces of 25 and 23 minutes, recorded in August and September 2008 respectively. Maciej’s music is an attractive blend of long solos and rhythmic / sequenced Berliner School, with several breaks tying things aptly together and keeping it varied. It’s a fresh sounding effort paying tribute to vintage Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, in which also some tasty choir pads and strings fly by. Although not sounding original, “Earth Moving” will without doubt satisfy the needs of a lot of mainstream EM fans. |
