According the composer’s note in the booklet, this album is probably his last one containing classic electronic music. Can’t say I would feel bad about that as Maciej’s Berlin School-infused music hasn’t shown any progress or change for many years. This also goes for the featured four lengthy tracks on this album, all overall melodic, sequencer-driven and very accessible but also most predictable. I’ve got no clue what Lambert Ringlage’s contribution to the the 73-minute outcome has been, as I don’t hear much difference compared to Vanderson’s previous output (or it should be the slight TD melodic lines). Sure these easy-going electronics with cosmic vibes will appeal to a wide EM-audience. For me though “Sequenced Thoughts” simply fails to neither trigger nor keep my attention. |
