The free of charge compilation “Enfold”, a 24-bit studio master, celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Lyon-based Ultimae label, a collection of songs created with the idea of gentleness and chill. In ten winter ambience tracks, Lars Leonhard, I Awake, Fingers In the Noise, Scann-Tec, Asura, Miktek, Martin non-Static, Circular, Master Margherita and AES Dana take the listener on a continuous, moody and smooth evolving journey of lush swirling pads, environmental sound recordings and deep bass lines. The cold haze and feel of frozen conditions shimmers nicely through the veins on each chilled-out piece, creating a crispy/organic, contemplative and intimate atmosphere with an occasional slice of down-tempo to dwell in. |
