If you look for any regular names of the Interchill stall, you will look in vain for them on this compilation which introduces a brand new league of contemporary musicians and bands. What you get though are 14 tracks of experimental and break beats, intelligent dubstep, bass IDM and down/tempo exercises which all stray quite far from the Interchill sonic trademark. In addition, expect a lot of quirkiness and psychedelic chatter featured on each of the tracks. I for one feel “Subtextures” is an odd, progressive and most peculiar groovy experience which stands far from nor has it distinct affiliation with the kind of music I review on SonicImmersion on a regular basis. |
