In June 2006, when I and some collegues were producing E-dition magazine, I did an interview with Walter Rothe and his Pillion partner Guy2D. Then, the “new” album “Halcyon” was mentioned. Nevertheless, “Centillion 303” is a double album of which disc 1 contains parts 1-10 as split tracks, while the second one features the 56-minute original master All in One Suite. Elements of classic Tangerine Dream and Schulze are evident in the cinematic music, complemented with dense, darkening atmospheres and some melodic flavours known from Walter’s previous solo works. All in all, “Centillion 303” makes a timeless, highly spherical piece of music for space voyagers. |
