Wellenfeld – Sunshine

“Sunshine” contains nine well-composed and executed studio tracks recorded by Wellenfeld (aka the German duo Detlef Dominiczak and Andreas Braun) between April 2006 and February 2008.

The outcome is accessible melodic music with spatial sequencer patterns and warm synth pads along captivating leads, of which album opener New York is a good example. Wellenfeld’s rhythmic, good-mood electronic music is spiced with catchy melodies, an open sound and a nice pulsating drive throughout.
As such, both the duo and its “sunny” music prove to be a worthy contribution to the German league of EM-bands and landscape of music.

At the end of the 63-minute album we find two bonus pieces: “Floating”, a live-recording of the opening song from their performance in January 2007 at the Rex Theater in Wuppertal, and a radio-cut of the opening track “New York”.
